Blue Knight is a joint initiative between Johnson & Johnson’s global incubator network, JLABS, and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), focused on accelerating early-stage solutions for global health resilience. In 2023, JK Design led the creative execution for the third annual Blue Knight Symposium—a large-scale event connecting more than 1,000 innovators, investors, and partners. Through thoughtful design across print, digital, and on-site materials, we shaped an experience that felt unified and purposeful while elevating the human connections that drive discovery.

The creative came together seamlessly across channels to spark conversation, connection, and collaboration. Grounded in an understanding of the audience and its mission, our work helped transform 
a large-scale symposium into a cohesive, human-centered experience—celebrating breakthrough science while reinforcing Blue Knight’s role as a catalyst for innovation and partnership in global health.

We translated the strategy into clear, connected moments across the attendee journey. Pre-event emails built momentum, while on-site collateral—signage, name badges, and printed materials—made the experience easy to follow and feel welcoming. Our team directed photo and video to capture the energy in the room, and created a social toolkit with channel guidance and ready-to-share captions to drive attendance and engagement. 
A motion graphics promo video boosted visibility ahead of the event. And with vendor coordination and 
on-the-ground support, every detail came together seamlessly.
