JK is a women-owned, full-service communications agency powered by people who care deeply about the work—and the people we do it for.
Principal & Founder
Barb has guided JK’s course from day one, using her sharp instincts and human touch to shape a culture where ideas thrive and people matter. From co-founding the agency with Jerry in their Edison home to guiding its journey as it grew, she’s shaped the vision and DNA of the business with equal parts warmth, decisiveness, and strategic clarity. Clients, teammates, and partners feel her commitment to connection, growth, and doing things the right way.
Outside the studio, you’ll find her planning travel adventures, lost in a thriller novel, or doting on her two adorable grandchildren.
Founder & Chairman
Jerry is the fearless creative pioneer behind JK—the person who said “what if we go further?” and then blazed the trail for the team to follow. Since starting the agency in 1985 with Barb, he’s driven a standard of work that redefines what clients expect from a creative partnership. His induction into the Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey celebrates decades of bold design, breakthrough thinking, and leadership that elevates everyone around him.
When he’s not sketching the next big idea, he’s fishing off a pier, perfecting a classic on the guitar, or painting a landscape that inspires.
Chief Executive Officer
Martha leads with a mix of compassion, clarity, and bold conviction—bringing both the big-picture vision and the day-to-day focus that keep JK moving forward with purpose. With 40+ years in the business and global campaigns for brands like AT&T, Revlon, and Chevrolet, she’s built a career on raising the bar and helping teams do work that feels truly meaningful. She creates the conditions for JK’s people to thrive—steady under pressure, thoughtful in her decisions, and unafraid to push further.
Outside the office, she’s happiest outdoors with her family or rewatching “The Wizard of Oz,” a story that reminds her there’s always a path forward, even when the road twists.
President
Chris leads with empathy, focus, and an analytical mind that never stops connecting the dots, shaping JK’s strategic vision while overseeing the operations, contracts, and business functions that keep the agency running smoothly. With a career that began at JK two decades ago (back when a remote-control blimp floated through the office), he’s grown through nearly every role in the agency, giving him a rare, full-circle understanding of how people, process, and performance come together. He’s collaborative to the core, unafraid to ask better questions, and always accountable for strengthening the agency from the inside out.
Outside the office, he’s with his family—at concerts, art shows, or anywhere great food can be found.
Executive Vice President
Mark is the connective tissue of JK—a leader who brings teams, disciplines, and ideas into harmony so the agency can operate at its best. For more than 30 years, he’s been the person who smooths the bumps, solves the puzzles, and brings people together so creative teams can push the work further. He’s the driving force behind JK’s culture, always working to create the moments that build community and strengthen the collaboration and care that make the agency such a great place to work.
Outside the office, Mark spends time with friends, discovering something in the fridge he doesn’t remember putting there, or reminiscing about the time Diana Ross made him brunch.

With 20+ years on the agency side and experience supporting global brands like Coca-Cola, Verizon, J&J, Merck, and Tiffany & Co., she brings sharp thinking and a direct communications style that builds trust and empowers teams to deliver work that drives lasting impact.
When she’s not guiding global programs or strengthening client partnerships, she’s usually planning her next trip, laughing with her family and friends, or discovering something unexpected—like maple bacon pickles—in her fridge.

With two decades of design leadership and more than ten years guiding JK’s creative teams, he elevates every idea with equal parts focus and imagination.

Energized, empathetic, and always thinking, Jim listens deeply and translates complexity into direction that moves people to action.
Outside the office, you’ll find him hiking with his dog Tilly, picking at a guitar, or dreaming about his next trip to Hawaii.
